Leaning on the expertise of Iowa DOT cultural resource specialists, the Iowa DOT identifies any environmentally or historically sensitive areas that may be impacted by construction projects. If a culturally sensitive resource is identified, we do everything we can to minimize any potential impact to that resource. This includes developing a plan to monitor and reduce vibration whenever practical.
