Black Hawk Bridge will close on Monday, Oct. 20. Iowa DOT and WisDOT will initiate a free car ferry starting in early Nov. until new bridge opens Spring 2027.
News release about Iowa DOT is reopening the Iowa 9 / Wisconsin 82 bridge across the Mississippi River connecting Lansing, Iowa, and Crawford County, Wisconsin.
If you drive on the Mississippi River Bridge at Lansing you need to be aware that intermittent closures on the bridge will resume on Tuesday, Sept. 17.
Following repairs and rigorous safety testing, the existing Mississippi River Bridge connecting Lansing, IA, and Crawford County, WI is expected to open today.
