DES MOINES, Iowa – Oct. 28, 2025 – The Iowa Department of Transportation is hosting an open house-style hiring event to recruit temporary snowplow drivers for the upcoming winter season.
The event will take place on Thursday, November 6, from 5 - 7:00 p.m. at the Des Moines North Garage, 1530 NE 53rd Ave. in Des Moines.
“We’re opening our doors to the public to showcase the important work our crews do and to connect directly with those who may be interested in helping keep their community’s roads safe this winter,” said Craig Bargfrede, Winter Operations Administrator.
