SIOUX CITY, Iowa – Sept. 12, 2025 – If you travel on eastbound Gordon Drive/Business U.S. 20 in Sioux City, be aware of an upcoming ramp closure that may affect your route, according to the Iowa Department of Transportation’s District 3 office.

Project location as described below.

On Tuesday, Sept. 16, weather permitting, the eastbound Gordon Drive/Business U.S. 20 exit ramp to southbound S. Lewis Boulevard will be closed for bridge maintenance activities.

This will be a one-day closure. During the closure, traffic will be directed to use the Transit Avenue/Cunningham Drive exit as an alternate route.

The Iowa DOT reminds motorists to drive with caution, follow posted signs in the work area, and be aware that traffic fines for moving violations are at least double in work zones. As always, stay alert, allow ample space between vehicles, and wear seat belts.
