Government and Community Relations

Our purpose

Government and Community Relations works with government officials and staff, government agencies, transportation interest groups, and the legislative and rule-making processes at both the federal and state levels.

Government and Community Relations also assists the Iowa DOT's director and employees by analyzing and communicating information about current transportation policy issues and legislative and rulemaking activity.

Other responsibilities include coordinating legislative programs, the development of administrative rules and internal policies and procedures, and administering contested case appeals for the Iowa DOT.

Search required Iowa Department of Transportation legislative reports submitted to Iowa Publications Online, a service of the State Library of Iowa.
