COMPOST

Compost specified for use on an Iowa Dept. of Transportation project shall come from a source meeting the Seal of Testing Assurance (STA)- of US Composting Council. If no S.T.A. compost sources are within a reasonable shipping distance a compost source approved by the Roadside Development Section of the Office of Design, IA DOT may be used.
