Consolidated and Further Continuing Appropriations Act, 2012
On Friday, Nov. 18, the president signed into law H.R. 2112, the "Consolidated and Further Continuing Appropriations Act of 2012," which provides full-year appropriations through Sept. 30, 2012, for the U.S. Department of Transportation, including federal transit programs.

Surface and Air Transportation Programs Extension Act of 2011
On Friday, September 16, 2011, the President signed into law: H.R. 2887, the "Surface and Air Transportation Programs Extension Act of 2011," which extends through March 31, 2012, funding for programs funded from the Highway Trust Fund (HTF) including federal transit programs, authority to make expenditures from the HTF for HTF-financed programs, authority to collect taxes that fund the HTF, and also extends through January 31, 2012 certain aviation programs.
