  • Materials, Samples, Testing, and Reporting
  • Interprets materials properties and characteristics of aggregates, asphalt binders and emulsions; and how they contribute to the final products in the field.
  • Follows specifications for all materials testing and inspection.
  • Performs all routine tests in the required laboratory section according to specification.
  • Performs all calculations with accuracy.
  • Samples materials according to specifications.
  • Follows the requirements of ASTM D3666 - Standard Specification for Minimum Requirements for Agencies Testing and Inspecting Road and Paving Materials.
  • Reports test results with accuracy.
  • Responds to questions about test performance or test results from district laboratory personnel or contractor quality control personnel.
