Advertising Management

The Advertising Management section is responsible for regulating the placement of signs located off state right-of-way. Iowa Code Chapter 306B, 306C, and Administrative rules Chapter 117, 118, 119, and 120 address our signing programs.

They consist of billboards (off-premise signs), church, service club, municipal (MR), county and school recognition signs, logo signs, tourist-oriented directional signs (TODS), off right-of-way private directional signs, junkyards, and the removal of illegal signs.
