Due to the relocation of US 218 in Black Hawk County in 1995, the official description in the Primary Road System should be revised to reflect this change.

Transfer of jurisdiction agreement numbers 90-TJ-002 and 93-TJ-009 between the Iowa Department of Transportation, City of Cedar Falls and Black Hawk County transferred US 218 to the City of Cedar Falls and Black Hawk County on August 1, 1995.

Transfer of jurisdiction agreement number 92-TJ-001 between the Iowa Department of Transportation and the City of Waterloo transferred a section of old US 218 to the City of Waterloo on December 31, 1992 that should be removed from the Primary Road System.
