Showcase projects

Hundreds of Iowa transportation projects will be completed as a result of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) of 2009. While every project selected for funding is deserving of recognition and provides a unique return on investment, resources simply don’t permit the Iowa DOT to profile each activity. Therefore, for illustrative purposes, the department has chosen to showcase a mix of highway, trail, transit, aviation, and railroad projects being accomplished with ARRA funding.

If your agency, organization or department is administering a local project that is not currently displayed and you would like to see it highlighted, you may submit photos and a written profile using a format similar to the one for other projects of its type to dena.grayfisher@dot.iowa.gov. The Iowa DOT would be glad to publish the information to this site.

If you are a professional or amateur photographer and have taken a photo of one of the profiled projects, you are welcome to send us your photos and we may be able to add them to the site. Send the photo to dena.grayfisher@dot.iowa.gov along with a description of the project location and date the photo was taken. Any photos become the property of the DOT.
