Plans and Reports
The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA) and guidance from the U.S. Office of Management and Budget require extensive reporting from recipients of federal funding, which includes any entity that receives ARRA funding directly from the federal government through a grant, loan or contract.
These federal reporting requirements apply to the Iowa Department of Transportation (DOT), as well as to Iowa’s transit agencies with populations of 200,000 or greater and airports directly receiving ARRA funds.
In addition to these reports, these same entities are required to provide the U.S. House of Representatives’ Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure (T&I) specific certifications and transparently and accountability information within 45 days of enactment of ARRA. For information related to the ARRA to be fully transparent to the public, the Iowa DOT is publishing its federal reports and certifications as they are filed in the table below. The department has also published a quick reference defining the title and purpose of each report as abbreviated in the table.
Reports subsequently filed by the U.S. DOT using information from Iowa’s reports will be available to the public at www.recovery.gov.
The Iowa DOT serves as a member of the Transportation Working Group, a subgroup of the State of Iowa's ARRA Coordinating Team. Reports and action plans issued by the ARRA Coordinating Team are published on the State of Iowa's recovery Web site - www.recovery.iowa.gov.
