Iowa Department of Transportation (DOT) Expenditure Report of Projects under Contract Funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) of 2009
As an added measure of transparency and accountability, the Iowa DOT has elected to publish a weekly report of ARRA expenditures for transportation projects. The weekly report will be generated the day following completion of the federal billing process, which normally occurs on Mondays. The list will expand over time as more contracts are awarded. The Iowa DOT plans to include in the report all state and local highway projects, state-awarded transit projects, state and local transportation enhancement (trails) projects, and any other types of projects awarded using ARRA funding.
Please note that the amount of Recovery Act funds obligated to a project (as shown in the weekly expenditure reports published on this Web page) may be higher than the low bid contract amount listed in the Letting Results reports. Recovery Act funds programmed for a project may include approved preliminary engineering, right-of-way acquisition and/or construction engineering costs, which are above and beyond the construction contract amount.
