In the event of a crash, seat belt use saves lives. While buckling up is important for all ages, it is especially crucial for teenagers due to their high crash rate.
The Iowa Department of Transportation is recommending that the legislature pass a law that requires passengers under age 18 to use safety restraints in all seating positions.
