AMES, Iowa – The Iowa Transportation Commission today approved a Revitalize Iowa's Sound Economy (RISE) Local Development grant application submitted by the city of Hartley. Up to $173,189 will be made available to grade and pave approximately 1,450 feet of Fourth Street S.E. from Eighth Avenue E. west and north to Third Street S.E. Funding for the grant comes from the city share of the RISE fund. The new roadway will provide paved access to eight new lots in the southern and western portions of the community’s industrial development area. # |
