Additional road closures now reported in the Des Moines
metro due to explosion

AMES, Iowa – The Iowa Department of Transportation is now expanding road closures in the Des Moines area due to an explosion on the city's east side.

Now all eastbound lanes and ramps on Interstate 35/80 are closed between the west and east mixmasters.

Interstates 35 and 235 and U.S. 69 in the Des Moines metro remain open at this time.
