Iowa Transportation Commission
approves grant for Osceola

AMES, Iowa – The Iowa Transportation Commission today approved a Revitalize Iowa's Sound Economy (RISE) Immediate Opportunity grant application submitted by the city of Osceola. Up to $361,463 will be made available to assist in the construction of a 2,100-foot extension of E. Eddy Saylor Parkway in the Osceola Industrial Park.

The improvements are necessary to provide access to several new industrial lots, including the site of Majona Corporation’s new 40,000-square foot steel fabricating facility that produces products for the bio-energy construction market. Funding for the grant comes from the city share of the RISE fund.
