DOT driver's license stations closed for Thanksgiving holiday AMES , IOWA --- All Iowa Department of Transportation driver's license stations will be closed Thursday, Friday and Saturday, Nov. 24-26, in observance of the Thanksgiving Holiday. In lieu of Saturday service, all Iowa DOT driver's license stations will be open Monday, Nov. 28, 2005, from 8:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. All stations will resume normal hours of operation on Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2005.
