Iowa Transportation Commission to hold public input meeting

AMES , Iowa – The Iowa Transportation Commission will meet in Council Bluffs , Tuesday, Oct. 4, to discuss transportation matters with representatives of local government, interest groups and individuals.

Items that may be discussed at the meeting include the State Transportation Improvement Program; transportation policies; and highway, aviation, rail, river, and transit issues.

The meeting will be held at the Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites, 2202 River Road , Council Bluffs , Iowa . For more information concerning the meeting, contact the DOT's Office of Program Management at 515-239-1148.

Monday, Oct. 3, the commissioners will meet informally and tour transportation projects in southwest Iowa . No action will be taken on transportation-related matters during the tour.
