The safety of the traveling pubic, journalists, highway workers, and others is of utmost concern to the Iowa DOT and State Patrol as the new 70 mph signs are being installed on one of the state's busiest holiday travel days. This issue, as well as the fact that DOT crews will be operating on a tight schedule to get the all the signs installed on Friday, will be limiting media opportunities that day to the designated locations. We appreciate the media's cooperation.
