Business hours
scheduled to change at some AMES,
Iowa – Effective Friday, July 30, eight driver's license stations operated by
the Iowa Department of Transportation will be changing their business hours in
an effort to enhance customer service. By
closing offices on Mondays at these locations, the DOT is able to increase the
number of employees serving customers Tuesday through Saturday. This change will
help to further minimize the waiting time for customers at these busy locations,
getting everyone in and out as quickly as possible.
On
July 30, the hours at the driver’s license examining stations in Ames, Cedar
Rapids, Council Bluffs, Davenport, Iowa City, Sioux City, and Waterloo will be: In
Des Moines, the hours will be: The
remaining 10 DOT stations, located in Burlington, Carroll, Clinton, Dubuque,
Fort Dodge, Marshalltown, Mason City, Muscatine, Ottumwa and Spencer, will
maintain their current Tuesday through Saturday schedule. The
DOT is committed to providing the highest level of customer service within
available resources and will continue to examine hours of service and make
adjustments, as necessary. #
