Proposed
improvements to U.S. 275 and Interstate 29/80 AMES, Iowa – The
Iowa Department of Transportation will hold two separate public information
meetings March 18. Both meetings will be held simultaneously at the Mid-America
Center, 1 Arena Way, Rooms K and L, in Council Bluffs. The public is invited to
attend any time from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. At one meeting, discussion will be held on the proposed
improvements and access location changes to U.S. 275 (South Omaha Bridge Road)
from Veteran’s Memorial Bridge east to Interstate 29. The other meeting will include discussion of the proposed
three-laning of eastbound I-29/80. No formal presentations will be made, but Iowa DOT staff
members will be present with displays and related information to discuss the
proposals informally with interested persons. Pertinent information prepared by
the Iowa DOT in the planning and design of these improvements will be available
for inspection at the meetings. General information about the projects or the meetings is
