Multi-vehicle crash closes I-80 near Newton

 AMES, Iowa – Jan. 29, 2004 - Westbound Interstate 80 is closed at mile post 163 due to a multi-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 8:45 this morning. Westbound traffic is being detoured on Iowa 14 and Jasper County road F-48.

 The closure is expected to be in place until noon today.
