The Commission approved funding up to $114,568 to assist in the grading and paving of a 600-foot extension of Industrial Drive in the Roland Industrial Park to accommodate the business expansion of JaMax Machine Company and creation of 31 new jobs.

Revitalize Iowa’s Sound Economy (RISE) Default and Proposed Settlement- city of  
De Witt

The Commission approved a $5,122 lump sum default settlement of a 1999 RISE grant to the city of De Witt. The default was in connection to the inability of Brazeway, Inc. to create the required number of new jobs related to the RISE grant.

The Commission deferred action on a $14,133 lump sum default settlement of a 2000 RISE grant to the city of  Sigourney. The default was in connection to the closure of Heartland Handcrafted Homes, Inc. and failure to create the required number of new jobs related to the RISE grant.

Transfer of Jurisdiction – Iowa 945 in the city of Bondurant to Polk County

Transfers to Polk County a 3.09-mile section of Iowa 945 from the north corporation limits of the city of Bondurant to the south I-80 ramp terminal. No reimbursement and/or rehabilitation of this section is required. The proposed transfer will take place upon the state’s notification to the county of the time and date of the official transfer.

Transfer of Jurisdiction – Iowa 60 in Sioux County

Transfers to Sioux County an 870-foot section of Iowa 60 through the unincorporated community of Carnes from county secondary road K-64/Jackson Avenue extending northeast. The state will transfer funds to the county in the amount of $2,100, which represents the estimated cost to place the roadway in a good state of repair. The proposed transfer will take place upon the state’s payment to the county and notification to the county of the time and date of the official transfer.
