ANNUAL FLY IOWA TO BE HELD IN LEMARS

AMES, Iowa – FLY IOWA, the state’s annual air event will be held July 6 and 7 in LeMars, according to the Iowa Department of Transportation's Office of Aviation.

The event, which typically features local, regional and even national performers such as the Blue Angels, will be one of many air shows coming to Iowa airports this spring and summer. “Air shows are probably the most popular form of entertainment at an airport,” said Michelle McEnany, director of the DOT’s Office of Aviation. “Although many of Iowa’s 113 public-use airports host very popular car shows, concerts and swap meets, as well.”
