Approved Products List

Product Evaluation Committee

The Iowa DOT's Office of Materials receives many requests for the Iowa DOT's approved products list. This information is maintained by the Office of Materials and the specifications section in the five volumes of the Materials' Instructional Memoranda (IM). However, specific listings are not easy to find because of how the IMs are organized. There are lists for each product, which are added in the appendixes to the corresponding IM.

Note:
In the event there is a discrepency between the printed version and the online version of an IM or any parts of an IM, the printed version shall prevail.

Products and sources added to teh approved products list may be used on active projects with the exception of Steel Fabrication Shops and Plants, IM 557 Appendix A-D that must be approved prior to the time of letting.
