Private directional signs are intended to inform motorists of public and privately owned natural phenomena, historic, cultural, scientific, educational and religious sites, and areas of natural scenic beauty or areas that are naturally suited for outdoor recreation.

Temporary advertising device, erected on private property for the purpose of notifying the public of noncommercial community events, including, but not limited to fairs, centennials, festivals and celebrations open to the general public and sponsored or approved by a city, county or school district.
