Iowa Trails Summit
Mark your Calendars
Thursday, June 16 - Saturday, June 18, 2011
Cedar Falls/Waterloo
Never has it been more important for all interested parties to work together to preserve, protect and enhance the opportunities available for ourselves, our friends and families to experience the great outdoors. Trails connect the world around us, nurture communities by providing healthy activities, and embrace a quality of life legacy that will one day pass on to future generations.
At the June conference, the Friday session consisted of four panel discussions with some of Iowa's leading experts on trail development and healthy communities sharing their ideas on the challenges and opportunities trail organizations would be facing in the coming years. The panelists represented a cross section of professionals, and each presented an innovative and interesting view of issues important to the future of Iowa trails, as well as participation in question and answer sessions.
The Saturday events presented a variety of outdoor recreation exhibits and activities. This exciting day offered the public an opportunity to explore a wide range of trail recreation opportunities, as well as a great chance to network with other trail users.
