All heads covered bicycle safety van
Blank Children’s Hospital would like to introduce the All Heads Covered Bicycle Safety van. With generous funding from Prairie Meadows, this van was purchased to provide a “house” for a mobile bicycle rodeo. Providing bicycle safety education is so important and we really need to work together to get the message out to parents and children across the state. A bicycle rodeo is a perfect conclusion to a comprehensive bicycle safety message because it provides children the opportunity to practice their newly acquired bicycle safety skills and knowledge in a safe and controlled environment. Inside the van you will find all supplies necessary to host a successful event.
- Four bicycles of varying sizes with adjustable seats
- 12 orange traffic cones
- Four stop signs
- One chalker with chalk
- One tape measure
- One first aid kit
- Bicycle maintenance tools
- Bicycle tire pump
- Bicycle rodeo plans
The All Heads Covered van is available for reservation by any group of individuals providing a bicycle safety message in the state of Iowa. The van is currently used by organizations such as Blank Children’s Hospital, Greater Des Moines SAFE KIDS Coalition, Des Moines Cycle Club and police departments from the following cities: Des Moines, Waukee, Urbandale and Norwalk. We would love to add your organization/group to this list.
