Emergency detour routes
Emergency detour signs will be in placed along route. If necessary, electronic message boards will also be used to alert motorists of traffic disruptions.Northbound emergency detour routes
Emergency detour route A
During an emergency, northbound traffic will be routed from U.S. 20 east to South Canfield Road, north to Dubuque Road, west to Black Hawk County Road V-49, then south to I-380.
Emergency detour route B
During an emergency, northbound traffic will be routed to Black Hawk County Road V-49 north to Dubuque Road, west to U.S. 218, then south to I-380.
Southbound emergency detour route
When an emergency detour is in place, southbound traffic will use U.S. 218 south to Black Hawk County Road D-48, east to Black Hawk County Road V-51 and then north to I-380.
