I-29 Improvement Project

Construction update

Veterans Bridge Sidewalk
The sidewalk on the Veterans Bridge, across the Missouri River, is closed to pedestrian traffic to accommodate construction activities for the I-29/Wesley Parkway project. The sidewalk is scheduled to reopen in July.

I-29 at Singing Hills Boulevard
Northbound Interstate 29 traffic has been switched to the southbound lanes south of the Singing Hills Boulevard interchange. The traffic shift accommodates the reconstruction of the I-29 northbound lanes. The Singing Hills Boulevard interchange ramps (exit 143), as well as the I-29/I-129/U.S. 20 interchange ramps (exit 144) will remain open, but motorists will utilize a shared exit to access the interchanges. Motorists should pay special attention to the signs that direct traffic through the construction zone.

I-29 and Wesley Parkway/U.S. 77 interchange (exit 148)
U.S. 77 (Wesley Parkway) is closed to the southbound Interstate 29 on-ramp (exit 148) for retaining wall construction, part of the I-29 Wesley Parkway interchange project. A signed detour takes traffic to northbound I-29, to Iowa 12, and then to I-29 southbound. The project is scheduled for completion by the end of July.

One lane of Tri-View Avenue is closed to accommodate I-29 construction. Tri-View traffic will be managed with traffic signals.
