Storm sewer work, in conjunction with the Interstate 29 reconstruction project, will require closing the southbound I-29 Nebraska Street off-ramp for eight weeks beginning at 8 a.m. Monday, July 6, weather permitting, according to the Iowa Department of Transportationís District 3 Office in Sioux City.
Traffic will be detoured around the work zone using Wesley Parkway to Third Street to Pierce Street to Gordon Drive (see map). Motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes.
I-29 at Floyd BoulevardApril 14 - December 2015
Road work to prepare for the southbound Interstate 29/Floyd River bridge replacement requires shifting southbound I-29 traffic to the northbound I-29 lanes north and south of the Floyd Boulevard interchange (exit 147) beginning at 8 a.m. Tuesday, April 14, until December 2015, weather permitting, according to the Iowa Department of Transportationís Sioux City construction office.
The traffic shift requires the closure of the southbound I-29 on-ramp from Floyd Boulevard. The ramp traffic will be detoured to Dace Avenue, then to Virginia Street, then to Gordon Drive, and then Pierce Street to reach the southbound I-29 on-ramp. See map below.

Road reconstruction work will require lane closure in both directions of Interstate 29 from 0.5 mile south to 1 mile north of the Sergeant Bluff interchange (exit 141), project completion is anticipated November 25, weather permitting, according to the Iowa Department of Transportationís Sioux City construction office.
Status updateMonday, March 30 through Wednesday, Nov. 25 the contractor will reconstruct the southbound lanes and bridges through Sergeant Bluff.
