Opening of I-29 off-rampApril 29
The opening of the Interstate 29 off-ramp (exit 147B) to the new southbound frontage road is scheduled for 5 p.m. Friday, April 29, weather permitting, according to the Iowa Department of Transportationís Sioux City construction office.
Motorists will now be able to access Nebraska Street and Floyd Boulevard using the new southbound frontage road.
Floyd Boulevard ramp closureMarch 22
Ramp construction work, in conjunction with the Interstate 29 reconstruction project, in Sioux City, will require closure of the northbound I-29 Floyd Boulevard on-ramp beginning at 8 a.m. Tuesday, March 22, weather permitting, according to the Iowa Department of Transportationís District 3 Office in Sioux City.
Traffic will be directed onto a signed detoured around the work zone (see map). Motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes.
I-29 lane closureMarch 21 - April 4
Roadway patching work will require alternating lane closures in both directions of Interstate 29 from north of exit 144 north to west of exit 149/Hamilton Boulevard from 9 a.m. Monday, March 21, until Monday, April 4, weather permitting, according to the Iowa Department of Transportationís Sioux City construction office.
Northbound I-29 offramp closureNov. 13, 2015 - Nov. 2016
Bridge and pavement reconstruction requires closure of the northbound Interstate 29 off-ramp to Floyd Boulevard (exit 147) beginning Friday, Nov. 13, until November 2016, according to the Iowa Department of Transportationís Sioux City construction office.
Traffic will be detoured to the exit 148 off-ramp, left on Wesley Parkway, to southbound I-29 and then Floyd Blvd. See map for further details.
