E. 6th St./Penn Ave. Interchange & E. 12th St. Bridge

Description: The new East Sixth and East Ninth street bridges were built over I-235 in 2002.

In 2003 the E. Sixth St./Penn Ave. interchange was reconstructed. A new bridge was built over I-235 for Penn Avenue, and the ramps serving this interchange were reconstructed.

A new bridge was also constructed over I-235 at East 12th Street, and the existing pedestrian bridge located west of the East Sixth/Penn Avenue interchange was replaced.
