For Iowa DOT downloads that do not have a projection file, you can right click here and select "Save As"; rename to match your downloaded shape fle.

GeoTIFF files are in:

State Plane Cooridinate System 1983 - Iowa North (1401) - in meters - for all counties in the north plane

State Plane Cooridinate System 1983 - Iowa South (1402) - in meters - for all counties in the south plane

Please Note:
Year 2005 GeoTIFFs have a LZW compression. Arcview 3.3 does not read images with this compression unless a new dll is installed, see http://support.esri.com/index.cfm?fa=knowledgebase.techArticles.articleShow&d=27185 for instructions .
