INSPECTION & ACCEPTANCE

RAISED PAVEMENT MARKERS


 

GENERAL

Raised pavement markers intended to provide temporary pavement markings shall meet the requirements of Article 2527.02, D, 5. Approved Products are listed in the Materials Approved Products Listing Enterprise (MAPLE).

 

ACCEPTANCE

Acceptance of raised pavement markers will be on the basis of manufacturer and brand name approval and satisfactory field performance.

 

MANUFACTURER & BRAND NAME APPROVAL

Manufacturer and brand name approval will be based on preliminary inspection and NTPEP test data submitted by the manufacturer to the Construction and Materials Bureau.

 

Approval of raised pavement markers may be withdrawn because of deficient monitor test results; product changes made after original approval, or unsatisfactory field performance.

 

MONITOR SAMPLING & TESTING

The Construction and Materials Bureau may sample and test raised pavement markers to verify compliance with specifications.
