Weather protection – if stored outside (greater than two months) shall be protected from sunlight, salt spray, and weather exposure.  The coated bars shall be covered with non-transparent material or other suitable opaque protective materials and provisions shall be made for adequate ventilation to minimize condensation.

 

Date of coated bars placed outdoors should be recorded on an identification tag

 

 

Discolored (weathered) bars should be rejected

 

 

Records keeping – Certified Mill Test Reports / Coater / Powder sources

 

 

Special areas designated for state certified steel reinforcement

 

All coated bar reinforcements are from approved source and are of domestic origin
