· Major Steel Bridge: Such work includes welding to the AASHTO/AWSD1.5M/D1.5:2002 – Welding Code, assembly for production of field splices, fracture critical, high level of Quality Control Program which is normally associated with bridge fabrication.
· Simple Steel Bridge: This category is appropriate for un-spliced rolled beam bridges, simple bridges, single span highway overpasses, and also pedestrian bridges. Such work includes, drilling, welding to AASHTO/AWSD1.5M/D1.5:2002, camber and other fabrication processed needed to furnish simple beam bridges, installation of fasteners, stiffeners, fabrication of diaphragms, cross frames and installation of bearings.
· AISC Quality Certification shall be required for major and simple steel bridges.
· Complex coating system for each shop requires AISC/SSPC sophisticated paint endorsement
