Field staff engineers

• Prepare project estimates; respond to public questions/concerns; provide engineering review in regards to right-of-way access/utility issues; and concepts/plans prepared by consultants, cities and counties, etc.
• Prepare final project concepts.
• Participate in field reviews during development of projects, attend pre-construction meetings.
• Review and coordinate the implementation of the Iowa DOT's Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) technologies for the Des Moines Area Traffic Management Center.
