Road Design Details
Updated for the October 2013 letting.The design details contained in this manual (commonly referred to as the "Green Book") have been developed to aid the designer in the development of detailed design plans for interstate and primary road construction in the state of Iowa. These details are not intended to cover all design situations. Where specific design problems require special solutions, the typical sections and design forms may be modified. Refer to Section 1E-4 of the Design Manual for guidelines for modifying Road Design Details.
