Civil Rights Section to move under Office of Employee Services
On Dec. 9, 2011, all Iowa Department of Transportation's external civil rights functions will transfer from the Office of Contracts to the Office of Employee Services.
The external civil rights team will continue to handle disadvantaged business enterprise (DBE) certifications, DBE reviews, DBE directory information, monthly DBE goal setting, DBE supportive services, emerging small business certifications, contractor's equal employment opportunity/affirmative action policy review, contractor compliance, on-the-job trainees, Contractor Industry Training Fund Program, prompt pay complaints, and all other matters related to external civil rights.
