| H-2004-68 | Transfer of Jurisdiction – Iowa 60 in city of Sheldon Transfers to the city of Sheldon approximately 1.68 miles of Iowa 60 through the city of Sheldon in Sioux, O'Brien and Osceola counties. The state will reconstruct Iowa 60 from the west corporation limits northeast approximately 600 feet. From that location approximately .7 miles northeast to the I.C.E. Railroad, the state will mill and resurface the existing roadway. The state will also transfer $185,681, which represents the estimated cost to place the remaining roadway in good repair. The transfer will take place upon completion of the reconstruction and resurfacing work, the state's payment to the city and notification by the state to the city of the time and date of the official transfer. |

The 60 transferred section extends from the north corporation limits of Sheldon northeast approximately 4.89 miles. The state will construct a new connector to tie in existing and relocated Iowa 60 and will compensate the county in the amount of $209,000, which represents the estimated cost to place the roadway in a good state of repair. The transfer will take place upon completion of the connector, the state's payment of $209,000, and notification by the state to the county of the time and date of the official transfer. |
