Research and special projects

In an effort to design, build and maintain long-lasting and cost-effective bridges in Iowa, the Office of Bridges and Structures is continuously seeking innovations in the form of high-performance materials, new design methodology and state of the art technology. In pursuit of the stated goals, the office has been successful in obtaining federal grants to fund these innovations.
