TITLE:  US 69, Worth County, Iowa

 

DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:

 

US 69 begins on the Worth‑Winnebago County line approximately ¼ mile south of the NW corner of Worth County, and travels northeasterly to the Iowa‑Minnesota State line approximately ¼ mile east of the NW corner of Worth County, Iowa.

 

Due to a review of our Primary Road System Records US 69 in Worth County should be deleted and the new description added should be officially included into the Primary System.

 

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

 

It is recommended that the old description of US 69 in Worth County be deleted and the new description as referred in the attached detailed description be included in the Primary Road System effective upon the adoption of this resolution.

 

Locate US 69 in Worth County as follows:

 

Beginning on the Worth‑Winnebago County line at a point approximately 1000 feet south of the NW Corner Section 7‑T100N-­R22W, Worth County (NE Corner Section 12‑T100N‑R23W, Winnebago County); thence in a north‑easterly direction through Section 7‑T100N‑R22W to the Iowa‑Minnesota State line at a point approximately 1200 feet east of the NW Corner Section 7‑T100N‑R22W in Worth County, Iowa.

Beginning on the Worth‑Winnebago County line on the west side of the Minneapolis and Saint Louis Railroad at a point approximately 1000 feet south of the NW Corner Section 7‑T100N‑R22W, Worth County (NE Corner Section 12‑T100N‑R23W, Winnebago County); thence in a northeasterly direction along the west side and substantially parallel to the Minneapolis and Saint Louis Railroad to the Iowa‑Minnesota state line at a point approximately 1200 feet east of the NW Corner Section 7‑T100N‑R22W.
