Beginning on the Worth‑Winnebago County line near the SW Corner Section 30‑T98N‑R22W Worth County, (SE Corner Section 25‑T98N‑R23W Winnebago County); then east following substantially the section line of Sections 31, 32, 33, 34 and 35‑T98N‑R22W to a point approximately 1,300 feet west of the S ¼ Corner Section 26‑T98N‑R22W; then curving in a northeasterly direction to a point approximately 1,300 feet north of the S ¼ Corner Section 26‑T98N‑R22W; then northerly following substantially the center section line to a point approximately 1,300 feet south of the N ¼ Corner Section 26‑T98N‑R22W; then curving in a northeasterly direction to a point approximately 1,300 feet east of the N ¼ Corner Section 26‑T98N‑R22W; then easterly following substantially the section line of Section 26 and 25‑T98N‑R22W to the west corporation line of Hanlontown, connecting with an unnamed street.

Hanlontown:

Beginning on the west corporation line connecting with an unnamed street; then east on unnamed street to the east corporation line.

DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:

Iowa 9 begins on the Worth‑Winnebago County line approximately 1 mile north of the SW corner of Worth County, and travels generally easterly via Hanlontown and Manly to the Worth‑Mitchell County line approximately 2 miles north of the SE corner of Worth County, Iowa.

Due to a review of our Primary Road System Records Iowa 9 in Worth County should be deleted and the new description added should be officially included into the Primary System.

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

It is recommended that the old description of Iowa 9 in Worth County be deleted and the new description, as referred in the attached detailed description, be included in the Primary Road System effective upon the adoption of this resolution.
