DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:

Interstate 35 located in Worth County should be officially included into the Primary Interstate Highway System.

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

Locate Interstate 35 in Worth County as follows:

Beginning on the Cerro Gordo‑Worth County line at a point near the S ¼ Corner of Section 32‑T98N‑R21W, Worth County (N ¼ Corner of Section 5‑T97N‑R21W, Cerro Gordo County); thence north approximately along the ¼ Section line through Sections 32, 29, 20, 17, 8 and 5‑T98N‑R21W and Sections 32, 29, 20, 17, 8 and 5‑T99N‑R21W and Sections 32, 29, 20 and 17‑T100N‑R21W to a point near the N ¼ Corner of Section 17‑T100N‑R21W; thence in a northwesterly direction through Section 8‑T100N‑R21W to the Iowa‑Minnesota State line.

NOW, THEREFORE: Be it resolved that the Iowa Department of Transportation approve the location of Interstate 35 in Worth County, Iowa.

NOTE: To become effective upon adoption of this resolution.
