Corydon:

Beginning on Lafayette Street at the intersection of Jefferson Street (Iowa 2); thence north on Lafayette Street to Jackson Street; thence west on Jackson Street to Washington Street; thence north on Washington Street to the north corporation line.

Beginning on the north corporation line of Corydon connecting with Washington Street; thence north, northwest and north through Sections 18, 7 and 6‑T69N‑R21W and Section 31‑T70N‑R21W; and in a northeasterly direction through Sections 31 and 30‑T70N‑R21W to a point approximately 400 feet north of the center of Section 30‑T70N‑R21W; thence north following substantially the center section line of Sections 30, 19, 18, 7 and 6‑T70N‑R21W to a point approximately 800 feet south of the N ¼ Corner Section 6‑T70N‑R21W; thence in a northeasterly direction through said Section 6 to the Wayne‑Lucas County line at a point approximately 300 feet east of the N ¼ Corner Section 6‑T70N‑R21W Wayne County (S ¼ Corner Section 31‑T71N‑R21W Lucas County).

DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:

Iowa 14 begins at Iowa 2 in Corydon, and travels generally northerly to the Wayne‑Lucas County line approximately 1 mile west and 3 ½ miles north of Millerton, Iowa.

Due to a review of our Primary Road System Records Iowa 14 in Wayne County should be deleted and the new description added should be officially included into the Primary System.

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

It is recommended that the old description of Iowa 14 in Wayne County be deleted and the new description, as referred in the attached detailed description, be included in the Primary Road System effective upon the adoption of this resolution.

Beginning on an unnamed street at Jefferson Street; thence northerly, westerly, and northerly to the north corporation line connecting with an unnamed street.

Beginning on the north corporation line of the City of Corydon connecting with an unnamed street; thence generally northerly and northwesterly through Sections 18 and 7‑T69N‑R21W; northerly through Sections 7 and 6‑T69N‑R21W and Section 31‑T70N‑R21W; and in a northeasterly direction through Sections 31 and 30‑T70N‑R21W to a point approximately 400 feet north of the center of Section 30‑T70N‑R21W; thence northerly following substantially the center section line of Sections 30, 19, 18, 7, and 6‑T70N‑R21W to a point approximately 800 feet south of the N ¼ Corner Section 6‑T70N‑R21W; thence in a northeasterly direction through said Section 6 to the Wayne‑Lucas County line at a point approximately 300 feet east of the N ¼ Corner Section 6‑T70N‑R21W Wayne County (S ¼ Corner Section 31‑T71N-R21W Lucas County).
