TITLE: Official Description Change: Iowa 316, Warren County

DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:

Transfer of jurisdiction agreement number TJ‑000‑0 (1), between Warren County and the Iowa Department of Transportation, and transfer of jurisdiction agreement number TJ-000‑0 (2), between Marion County and the Iowa Department of Transportation, transferred the section of road from Iowa 5 near the SE Corner Section 25‑T77N‑R22W north along the Warren‑Marion county line approximately two and one‑half miles and northwesterly approximately one mile to the Warren‑Polk county line at a point approximately 1550 feet north of the S ¼ Corner Section 12‑T77N‑R22W to state jurisdiction on January 12, 1981. The section is now designated Iowa 316.

Iowa 316 begins at Iowa 5 on the Warren‑Marion county line approximately four miles east of the City of Hartford, and travels northerly and northwesterly approximately three and one‑half miles to the Warren‑Polk county line.

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

It is recommended the commission approve including the attached description of Iowa 316 in Warren County in the primary road system.

Locate on the primary road system Iowa 316 in Warren County as follows:

Beginning on the Warren‑Marion County line at a point near the SE Corner Section 25‑T77N‑R22W (junction Iowa 5); thence north along the Warren‑Marion County line (see Marion County) to a point approximately 2800 feet north of the SE Corner Section 13‑T77N‑R22W; thence northwesterly through Section 13‑T77N‑R22W and northerly through Section 12‑T77N‑R22W to the Warren-Polk County line at a point approximately 1550 feet north of the S ¼ Corner Section 12‑T77N‑R22W.
