DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:
Iowa
96 begins on the Tama‑Marshall County line approximately ½ mile south and
2 ½ miles west of Gladbrook, and travels generally easterly approximately 9 ½
miles to US 63.
Due
to a review of our Primary Road System Records Iowa 96 in
PROPOSAL/ACTION
RECOMMENDATION:
It
is recommended that the old description of Iowa 96 be deleted and the new
description, as referred in the attached detailed description, be included in
the in the Primary Road System effective upon the adoption of this resolution.
Locate
Iowa 96 in
Beginning
on the Tama‑Marshall County line at a point near the NW Corner Section 18‑T85N-R16W,
Tama County (NE Corner Section 13‑T85N‑R17W, Marshall County);
thence easterly following substantially the section line of Sections 18, 17,
16, and 15‑T85N‑R16W to a point approximately 500 feet west of the
NE Corner Section 15‑T85N‑R16W; thence curving in a southeasterly
direction through Section 15‑T85N‑R16W to a point approximately 500
feet south of the NE Corner said Section 15; thence in a southeasterly,
easterly, and southeasterly direction through Sections 14 and 13-T85N‑R16W,
and Section 18-T85N‑R15W to a point approximately 400 feet east of the W ¼
Corner Section 18‑T85N‑R15W; thence easterly following
substantially the center section line of Sections 18, 17, 16, and 15‑T85N‑R15W
to a point approximately 75 feet west of the center of Section 15‑T85N‑R15W
(junction US 63).
