Transfer of jurisdiction agreement number 95-TJ-003 between the Iowa Department of Transportation and the City of Ames transferred Unsigned Iowa 930 to the City of Ames on October 24, 1995.

 

PROPOSAL / ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

 

It is recommended that Unsigned Iowa 930 in Ames be deleted from the Primary Road System.

DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:

 

Unsigned Iowa 930 begins at the Story‑Boone County line approximately one‑half mile west of the west corporation limits of the City of Ames, and travels easterly to the west corporation limits of the City of Ames, it begins again at a junction with US 69 in the City of Ames and travels easterly via the Cities of Nevada and Colo to the Story‑Marshall County line approximately four miles east of the City of Colo.

 

Transfer of jurisdiction agreement number TJ‑930‑0(18), between Story County and the Iowa Department of Transportation, transferred that portion of unsigned Iowa 930 from the east corporation limits of the City of Ames approximately 0.12 mile west of the NW Corner Section 7‑T83N‑R23W easterly to the west corporation line of the City of Nevada approximately 0.15 mile west of the NW Corner Section 12‑T83N‑R23W, from the east corporation line of the City of Nevada easterly to the west corporation line of the City of Colo, and from the east corporation line of the City of Colo easterly to the Story‑Marshall County line near the NE Corner Section 12‑T83N‑R21W to County jurisdiction on August 25, 1980.

 

Transfer of jurisdiction agreement number TJ‑930‑0 (18), between Story County and the Iowa Department of Transportation, and transfer of jurisdiction agreement number TJ-­930‑0(19), between the City of Ames and the Iowa Department of Transportation, trans­ferred that portion of unsigned Iowa 930 from the east corporation limits of the City of Ames approximately one‑half mile east of the NW Corner Section 7‑T83N‑R23W easterly along the south corporation limits approximately one‑half mile to the east corpora­tion limits of the City of Ames to local jurisdiction on August 25, 1980.

 

Transfer of jurisdiction agreement number TJ‑930‑0(19), between the City of Ames, and the Iowa Department of Transportation, transferred that portion of unsigned Iowa 930 from the junction of US 69 easterly to the east corporation line to city juris­diction on July 1, 1980.

 

Transfer of jurisdiction agreement number TJ‑930‑0 (18), between Story County and the Iowa Department of Transportation, and transfer of jurisdiction agreement number TJ-­930‑0 (1), between the City of Nevada and the Iowa Department of Transportation, transferred that portion of unsigned Iowa 930 from approximately 0.15 mile west of the NW Corner Section 12‑T83N‑R23W easterly along the north corporation line of the City of Nevada to local jurisdiction on August 25, 1980.

 

Transfer of jurisdiction agreement number TJ‑930‑0(1), between the City of Nevada and the Iowa Department of Transportation, transferred that portion of unsigned Iowa 930 from the west corporation line easterly to the east corporation line to city jurisdiction on July 28, 1980.

 

Transfer of jurisdiction agreement number TJ‑930‑ (18), between Story County and the Iowa Department of Transportation, and transfer of jurisdiction agreement number TJ‑930‑0 (16), between the City of Colo and the Iowa Department of Transportation, transferred that portion of unsigned Iowa 930 from near the NW Corner Section 8‑T83N‑R21W easterly along the north corporation line of the City of Colo to near the NE Corner Section 8‑T83N‑R21W to local jurisdiction on November 7, 1980.

 

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

 

It is recommended the commission approve deleting the present description of unsigned Iowa 930 in Story County from the primary road system and approve including the attached new description of unsigned Iowa 930 in the primary road system.

Unsigned Iowa 930 begins at the Story‑Boone County line approximately ¾ mile west of Ames and travels easterly via Ames and Nevada to the Story‑Marshall County line approximately 4 miles east of Colo, Iowa.

 

Due to a review of our Primary Road System records Unsigned Iowa 930 in Story County should be deleted and the new description added should be officially included into the Primary System.

 

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

 

It is recommended that the old description of Unsigned Iowa 930 in Story County be deleted and the new description, as referred in the attached detailed description, be included in the Primary Road System effective upon the adoption of this resolution.
