corporation line of Roland, connecting with Maple Street.

approximately 1,052 feet.

DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:
Iowa 221 begins at a junction with US 69
approximately eight miles north of the City of Ames
and proceeds easterly to the City of Roland.
Transfer of
jurisdiction agreement no. TJ‑221‑0(2)‑‑2M‑85,
between Story County and the Iowa Department of Transportation, transferred
that portion of Iowa 221 from a junction with US 69 near the NW Corner Section
23‑T85N‑R24W easterly to the west ramp of Interstate 35
approximately 2376 feet east of the NW Corner Section 19‑T85N‑R23W
to County jurisdiction on August 25, 1980.
PROPOSAL/ACTION
RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended
the commission approve deleting the present description of Iowa
221 in Story County
from the primary road system and approve including the attached new description
of Iowa 221
in the primary road system.

Iowa 221 begins at US 69 approximately 6
miles west of Roland, and travels easterly and northerly to a point in Roland, Iowa.
Due to a
review of our Primary Road System Records Iowa 221 in Story County
should be deleted and the new description added should be officially included
into the Primary System.
PROPOSAL/ACTION
RECOMMENDATION:
It is
recommended that the old description of Iowa
221 in Story County be deleted and the new
description, as referred in the attached detailed description, be included in the Primary Road System effective upon the
adoption of this resolution.

as follows:
Beginning at
a point near the NW Corner Section 23‑T85N‑R24W (junction US 69);
thence easterly following substantially the section line of Sections 23 and 24‑T85NR24W
and Sections 19 (junction Interstate Route 35), 20, 21, and 22‑T85N‑R23W
to the west corporation line of the City of Roland connecting with an unnamed street.
