DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:
Transfer
of jurisdiction agreement numbers TJ‑89‑3 (4) ‑‑2M‑85
and TJ-89-3 (5) ‑‑2M‑85, between Story County and the Iowa
Department of Transportation, transferred the sections of road from the Story-Boone
County line near the NW Corner Section 31‑T82N‑R24W east to the
west corporation line of the City of Slater and from the east corporation line
of the City of Maxwell east to a junction with US 65 near the NE Corner Section
29‑T82N‑R21W to state jurisdiction on August 25, 1980. These sections are now designated Iowa 210.
Transfer
of jurisdiction agreement number TJ‑89‑3(2)‑‑2M‑85,
between the City of Slater and the Iowa Department of Transportation,
transferred the section of road on Sixth Avenue from the west corporation line
east to present Iowa 210 at Linn Street to state jurisdiction on July 1,
1980. The section is now designated Iowa 210.
Transfer
of jurisdiction agreement number TJ‑89‑3(3)‑‑2M‑85,
between the City of Maxwell and the Iowa Department of Transportation,
transferred the section of road from present Iowa 210 at Second Street north on
Main Street and east on Fifth Street to the east corporation line of the City
of Maxwell to state jurisdiction on July 1, 1980. The section is now designated Iowa 210.
Iowa
210 begins at the Story‑Boone County line approximately one-quarter mile
west of the City of Slater and proceeds easterly via the cities of Slater and
Maxwell to a junction with US 65 approximately one‑half mile south of
the City of Collins.
PROPOSAL/ACTION
RECOMMENDATION:
It
is recommended the commission approve deleting the present description of Iowa 210 in Story
County from the primary road system
and approve including the attached new description of Iowa 210 in the primary road system.

DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:
Iowa 210 begins in Slater and
travels generally easterly to a point in Maxwell,
Iowa.
In
accordance with agreement number 78‑6‑023 between the Iowa
Department of Transportation and the City of Slater, dated February 21, 1978,
the portion of Iowa 210 in Slater located on Linn Street between Sixth Avenue
and Main Street and on Main Street between Linn Street and Story Street should
be removed from the Iowa Primary Road System and reverted to the City of
Slater.
PROPOSAL/ACTION
RECOMMENDATION:
It
is recommended that the old description of Iowa
210 in Story County be deleted and the new
description, as referred in the attached detailed description, be included in
the Primary Road System effective September 26, 1978.
